Untitled Art, Houston

Mitochondria Gallery made its debut at Untitled Art, Houston with a duo presentation in Booth B29: Djakou Nathalie Kassi and Demetrius Wilson, two distinct practices that both work on form, materiality, identity and perception.

The booth was built around the carved wood — the large framed relief panels, the wall of carved faces, the low chairs and the carved stool on its plinth — so the work could be read from across the hall and then again up close, where the tooling shows.
